關(guān)閉窗口 3. 可用副詞 much 修飾，但只能放在 prefer 之前，而不能置于其后(置于其后應(yīng)用very much):
正：He much preferred coffee. 他很喜歡喝咖啡。
正：He preferred coffee very much. 他很喜歡喝咖啡。
誤：He preferred coffee much.
4. 其它應(yīng)注意的幾點：
(1) 其過去式、過去分詞、現(xiàn)在分詞等，均應(yīng)雙寫 r。
(2) 由于本身已含有比較意味，不連用比較級或 than。
(3) 在 prefer…rather than…結(jié)構(gòu)中，不要省略 rather。
◆prepare v.
1. 表示“準備”，可用作及物或不及物動詞，用作不及物動詞時，其后通常接介詞 for。如：
We must prepare (for) the party. 我們必須為聚會做準備。
The children are preparing (for) their lessons. 孩子們正在預(yù)習(xí)功課。
注：prepare sth 與 prepare for sth 的細微區(qū)別是：前者表示“準備……”，相當于 get sth ready, 常暗示所需時間較短；后者表示“為……作準備”，相當于 make preparations for, 常暗示所需時間較長。如：
I’d better go upstairs and prepare her room. 我最好上樓去給她準備房間。
We only heard about the meeting yesterday, so we haven’t started preparing for it yet. 我們只在昨天才聽說開會的事，所以到現(xiàn)在還沒有開始準備。
2. 其后可接不定式，表示準備做某事。如：
Have you prepared to go on a trip? 你準備好去旅行了嗎?
He prepared to write a novel about the war. 他準備寫一本戰(zhàn)爭小說。
3. 表示“準備”，可接雙賓語，雙賓語易位時用介詞 for。如：
She is preparing us a meal. /She is preparing a meal for us. 她在給我們準備飯菜。
4. 有時用人作賓語。注意搭配：
They’re preparing the children for the examination. 他們在指導(dǎo)孩子準備考試。
We’ll prepare the child to face the difficulty. 我們要教孩子準備面對困難。
5. 用于 be prepared, 其后可接：
(1) 不定式。表示“準備”、“打算”、“愿意”。如：
I’m prepared to accept it. 我準備接受。
How much is she prepared to pay? 他準備付多少錢?
(2) for 短語。表示“準備(有某種情況)”或“防備(某情況)”。如：
We were not prepared for the heavy rain. 我們沒有提防要下這么大一場雨。
(3) against 短語。表示“對(某種不好的東西)作好準備”。如：
We must be prepared against war. 我們必須備戰(zhàn)。
注意以下兩句在含義上的差別:
We are prepared to do it. 我們已準備好(或愿意)做此事。
We are preparing to do it. 我們正在準備要做此事。
◆presently adv.
1. 表示“不久”，通常與將來時或過去時連用(＝soon)，通常位于句末。如：
The doctor will be here presently. 醫(yī)生一會兒就來。
注：與過去時連用時，有時可位于句首。如：
Presently I heard her leave the house. 不一會兒我聽到她離開了房間。
2. 表示“現(xiàn)在”、“目前”，通常與現(xiàn)在時連用(=now)，通常位于句中。如：
He is presently living in
He’s presently working on this problem. 他目前正在研究這個問題。
