關閉窗口 (3) 語言名詞前一般不用物主代詞。如：
誤：We speak our Chinese.
正：We speak Chinese. 我們說漢語。
誤：Who teaches your French?
正：Who teaches (you) French? 誰教(你們)法語?
注：當語言名詞表示某人使用語言的水平或能力時，可在其前用物主代詞。如：
My English is poor. 我的英語(水平)很差。
(4) 語言名詞前一般不用冠詞。如：
誤：She speaks the German.
正：She speaks German. 她說德語。
但是在以下情況，語言名詞前通常要用冠詞 the:
①表特指意義時:
the English spoken in America and Canada 在美國和加拿大講的英語
the English of Shakespeare 莎士比亞時代的英語
②表示某一語言中的對應詞語時:
What’s the English for this? 這個東西用英語怎么說?
What’s the French for "book"? book 用法語怎么說?
③在語言名詞后加上 language 一詞時:
the English language 英語 the Chinese language 漢語
(5) 表示某種語言的老師，有以下兩類表達：
a teacher of English 英語教師
an English teacher 英語教師；英國(人)教師
◆last
用作形容詞，意為“最后的”、“最近過去的”等，注意:
1. 與 morning, afternoon, night 等搭配，注意其表達習慣：
正：yesterday morning 昨天早上 誤：last morning
正：yesterday afternoon 昨天下午 誤：last afternoon
正：last night 昨天夜晚誤：yesterday night
正：yesterday evening(常見)/last evening(少見) 昨天晚上
2. 與 week, month, year, Sunday, spring 等之類的詞連用時，其前一般不用in, on, at 等介詞。如：
他去年出國了。
誤：He went abroad in last year.
正：He went abroad last year.
但是以下表達是正確的：
since last week 自上個星期以來
on Tuesday last 上周星期二(=last Tuesday)
in [during] the last two years 在過去的兩年中
3. 表示“在過去(最近)多少時間里(即迄今為止的一段時間里)”這一意義時，通常用“介詞＋the last＋一段時間”這一結構，此時應注意:
(1) 該結構中的介詞可以是 in, for, during, over, within 等，有時也可省去；
(2) the last 也可換為 the past 意義不變。其中的 the 有時也可根據其后名詞的單復數情況改用 this 或 these 等。
(3) 其中的“一段時間” 可以是 two hours, four weeks, a fewmonths, ten years 等，但若是 one week, one month, one year 等單數形式，則應省去 one；
(4) 該結構一般與現在完成時態連用。
I have been here (for) the last [past] month. 最近一個月里我都在這兒。
We’ve been having bad weather these last few weeks. 這幾周來天氣一直不好。
My business has decreased during the last two months. 最近兩個月內，我的生意減少了。
注：在一定的上下文里，若是以過去時間為起點，也可用過去完成時。如：
In the past two years I had seen him little. 在過去兩年里，我很少見到他。
5. last 有時可引申指“最不可能的”、“最不合適的”。如：
He’s the last man I want to see. 他是我最不想見的人。
He’s the last person to tell a lie. 他是最不可能說謊的。
That is the last thing I should expect him to do. 我怎么也沒想到他會做出那種事來。
