（六）詞性問題

英語中主語、謂語、狀語在詞性上都有相應(yīng)要求，不能隨意使用。

29. The Program above-mentioned presents our long-term goal. (p.4)

【問題分析】above-mentioned是形容詞，一般放在所修飾的名詞前面，而分詞短語mentioned above作定語時才放在所修飾的名詞后面，因此，應(yīng)把The Program above-mentioned改為The above-mentioned Program或The Program mentioned above。

30. Since the May Fourth Culture and Literature Movement, many poets introduced the Western prosody by translating the English poems as well as by creating poetry forms. (p. 68)

【問題分析】把用作名詞forms的修飾語poetry改為形容詞形式poetic更符合英語表達(dá)習(xí)慣。同樣地，Culture and Literature Movement改為Cultural and Literary Movement可能更符合英語表達(dá)習(xí)慣。另外，the English poems中的冠詞the使用不當(dāng)。

31. A concept is definable as a configuration of knowledge (cognitive content) which can be recovered or activated with more or less unity and consistency in the mind. (p. 117)

【問題分析】根據(jù)上下文，definable似乎應(yīng)改為defined。另外，in the mind中的冠詞the應(yīng)去掉。

32. This difference brings about different ways to secure effective and vividness. (p. 140)

【問題分析】effective應(yīng)改為名詞形式effectiveness。

33. Recently some terms are complete borrowed from the related languages or they maybe partly transplanted semantically. (p. 168)

【問題分析】在英語中修飾動詞的是副詞，而不是形容詞，因此complete應(yīng)改為completely。另外，maybe存在拼寫問題，應(yīng)分開成兩個詞，即may和be；the related languages中的定冠詞多余。而且本句的時態(tài)有待商榷。

34. Thus reading a naturalistic novel or story, can sometimes be like riding through a sewer in a glassed-bottomed boat. (p. 273)

【問題分析】按照英語構(gòu)詞法，由名詞符合詞構(gòu)成的形容詞glassed-bottomed，不需要兩者都加-ed，應(yīng)改為glass-bottomed。另外，本句逗號去掉為佳。
