三、介詞短語　　

什么叫介詞短語？介詞連同它的賓語就構(gòu)成了介詞短語。如in是介詞，in the room就是介詞短語，其中the room是介詞in的賓語。　　

1. 句法功能　　

介詞短語在句子中可以用作狀語、表語、定語、補(bǔ)語等，但一般不用作主語、謂語或賓語。如：　　

There was a rainbow in the sky. 天上有一道彩虹。　　

Our office is on the 9th floor. 我們的辦公室在9樓。　　

The rooms in Judy’s house are very small. 朱迪家的房間很小。　　

A cold kept him in bed for three days. 一次感冒讓他臥床三天。　　

第一句中的介詞短語in the sky用作狀語，表示地點(diǎn)；第二句中的介詞短語on the 9th floor用作表語；第三句中的介詞短語in Judy’s house用作定語，修飾名詞the rooms，其意為“朱迪家的房間”；第四句中的介詞短語in bed用作賓語補(bǔ)足語，補(bǔ)充說明賓語him。　　

2. 特例　　

上面提到介詞短語一般不能用作賓語，但有一個(gè)特例，就是介詞短語有時(shí)可用作某些特殊介詞(如from, until, since等)的賓語。如：　　

Come out from under the table. 從桌子下邊出來。　　

He walked out from among the crowd. 他從人群中走出來。　　

請(qǐng)比較下面兩句：　　

She won’t go home until the exam. 她要等考試的時(shí)候再回家。　　

She won’t go home until after the exam. 她要考完試之后再回家。　　

四、常用介詞區(qū)別　　

1. at, in與on　　

(1) 表時(shí)間的區(qū)別：at表示時(shí)間的一點(diǎn)，指片刻的時(shí)間，如：at 10 o’clock, at noon, at midnight 等；in表示一段時(shí)間，指時(shí)間的一段，如：in the morning, in the afternoon, in the evening, in July, in 2008, in winter, in the past, in the future等；on用在某天，如 on Friday, on Christmas Eve, on May Day等。　　

但是，若泛指一般意義的上午、下午、晚上，用介詞in，但當(dāng)表示某天的上午、下午、晚上on。如：　　

I usually get up late in the morning, but I have to get early on Sunday morning. 我早晨一般起床比較晚，但我早期六早晨我必須要早起。　　

(2) 表地點(diǎn)的區(qū)別：at表示某一點(diǎn)，如 at the school gate；on 指在物體平面或表面上(往往與物體表面接觸)，如 on the wall；in表示在某范圍或空間內(nèi)，如 in the box。　　

另外，比較 at 和 in 時(shí)，有時(shí)還從地點(diǎn)的大小來考慮，即大地方多用 in，小地方多用 at，如我們說arrive in Beijing，因?yàn)椤氨本┍容^大”，但我們地說arrive at a station，因?yàn)椤败囌颈容^小”。　　

在某些搭配中，三者的區(qū)別與英國英語和美國英語有關(guān)。如：　　

in the street (英) / on the street (美) 在街上　　

in the road (英) / on the road (美) 在路上　　

in the team (英) / on the team (美) 在這個(gè)隊(duì)　　

at the weekend (英) / on the weekend (美) 在周末　　

at weekends (英) / on weekends (美) 在周末(www.52ysedu.com)
