(1) 用作動詞，本指“（使）發(fā)出咔嗒聲”，在計算機(jī)語言中指“點擊”（可用作及物或不及物動詞）。如：
Click here to connect to the Internet. 點擊此處可以連接上互聯(lián)網(wǎng)。
Click “save” and close the document. 點擊“保存”，然后關(guān)閉文件。
Choose the image you want by clicking twice. 雙擊選中你想要的圖像。
Click on this link to visit our online bookstore. 點擊這個鏈接可訪問我們的在線書店。
(2) 用作名詞，本指“咔嗒聲”，在計算機(jī)語言中指“點擊”，通常為可數(shù)名詞，且一般用單數(shù)形式。如：
The point-and-click interface made life easier for users. 這種點擊界面使用戶的生活更加輕松。
Your photos can be viewed with the click of a mouse. 點一下鼠標(biāo)就可以查看你的照片。
4. computer
computer 的意思是“電腦”“計算機(jī)”，為可數(shù)名詞。如：
The information is stored on (the) computer. 資料存在電腦上。
Something has gone wrong with the computer. 這臺電腦出毛病了。
My computer can’t read this disk. 這張盤我的計算機(jī)讀不出來。
Connect up the printer to your computer. 將打印機(jī)與你的計算機(jī)連接起來。
She uses a portable computer when she travels. 她外出時用一部手提電腦。
有時直接用于名詞前作定語。如：
The kids all love playing computer games. 孩子們都喜歡玩電腦游戲。
She’s been given leave of absence to attend a computer course. 她被準(zhǔn)假去參加電腦課程的培訓(xùn)。
5. cursor 光標(biāo)
cursor 的意思是“光標(biāo)”。如：
Insert the cursor at the beginning of the line. 在行首插入光標(biāo)。
The arrow that appears on the screen is called a cursor. 屏幕上出現(xiàn)的箭頭叫光標(biāo)。
Use the cursor to highlight the name of the document you want to print. 使用光標(biāo)來加亮你想打印的文件。
Position the cursor before the letter you want to delete. 把光標(biāo)放在你想刪除的信件前。
6. cybercafe
cybercafe是個新詞，它的本義是“網(wǎng)絡(luò)咖啡屋”，也就是現(xiàn)在我們說的“網(wǎng)吧”，也有人稱之為“網(wǎng)咖”。如：
Sometimes we drink coffee at a cybercafe and wade through some websites. 有時我們坐在網(wǎng)吧里，邊喝咖啡邊瀏覽幾個網(wǎng)站。
Many towns and cities have cybercafes where you can surf the Internet. 許多城鎮(zhèn)都有網(wǎng)吧，在那兒人們可以在網(wǎng)上沖浪。
7. data
data 的意思是“數(shù)據(jù)”“信息”“資料”等，可指計算機(jī)方面的數(shù)據(jù)或資料，也可指其他方面的數(shù)據(jù)或資料。如：
Have you inputted the new data yet? 你把新數(shù)據(jù)輸進(jìn)電腦了沒有？
Early computers processed data very slowly. 早期的計算機(jī)對數(shù)據(jù)處理得十分緩慢。
Important data is stored on the central file server. 重要數(shù)據(jù)存儲在中央文件服務(wù)器。
非常有趣的是，該詞既可用作不可數(shù)名詞，也可視為復(fù)數(shù)
Very little data is available. 現(xiàn)有的資料十分不足。

用作主語時謂語用單數(shù)或復(fù)數(shù)均可以。如：
The data are [is] all ready for examination. 資料已完全準(zhǔn)備好供查考。
