introduce表示“介紹”時(shí)的用法

1. introduce表示“介紹”時(shí)的意思是to tell two or more people who have not met before what each others’ names are（告訴兩個(gè)或多個(gè)原來(lái)未曾見面的人他們彼此的名字），或者是to tell the audience the name of the person who is going to speak or perform（告訴觀眾講演者或演員的名字），也就是說(shuō)，introduce表示“介紹”時(shí)，主要用于介紹兩個(gè)不認(rèn)識(shí)的互相認(rèn)識(shí)，或是向聽眾或觀眾宣布并介紹演講者或廣播、節(jié)目等的細(xì)節(jié)。如：

Allow me to introduce my wife. 讓我介紹一下，這是我太太。

It is my pleasure to introduce tonight’s speaker. 我很榮幸來(lái)介紹今晚的演講者。

2. 有時(shí)漢語(yǔ)中說(shuō)“介紹”，其實(shí)是指“推薦”，此時(shí)應(yīng)用recommend，而不能用introduce。如：

Can you recommend me a good novel? 你給我介紹一本好的小說(shuō)行嗎?

Jamie sought out all inexpensive boarding-house recommended to him by a sailor aboard ship. 杰米找到了一個(gè)便宜的供膳宿舍，那是船上一名水手向他介紹的。

3. 經(jīng)常聽到有的人在表示“介紹情況”“介紹某學(xué)校”“介紹某國(guó)家”“介紹某機(jī)構(gòu)”等場(chǎng)合使用introduce，其實(shí)也是對(duì)introduce的誤用。如：

班上的同學(xué)互相介紹自己的國(guó)家。

誤：The students in the class introduced their own countries to each other.

正：The students in the class told each other about their own countries.

現(xiàn)在我們的美國(guó)朋友要向大家介紹她自己的研究情況。

誤：Our friend from America will now introduce her research to us.

正：Our friend from America will now tell us about her research.

莎士比亞的戲劇向我們介紹了當(dāng)時(shí)生活的許多情況。

誤：Shakespeare’s plays introduce to us a lot about contemporary life.

正：Shakespeare’s plays tell us a lot about contemporary life.

會(huì)計(jì)向營(yíng)業(yè)部的職員介紹了自己的工作情況。

誤：The accountant introduced his work to the sales staff.

正：The accountant described his work to the sales staff.

在今天晚上的節(jié)目中我們重點(diǎn)介紹德國(guó)。

誤：In tonight’s programme our focus is to introduce Germany.

正：In tonight’s programme our focus is on Germany.

4. 其后習(xí)慣上不帶雙賓語(yǔ)，要表示把某人介紹給另一人，可用introduce…to…這樣的結(jié)構(gòu)。如：

讓我把我的朋友介紹給你。

正：Let me introduce my friend to you.

誤：Let me introduce you my friend.

漢語(yǔ)中說(shuō)“作自我介紹”，英語(yǔ)用 introduce oneself。如：

Permit me to introduce myself. 請(qǐng)?jiān)试S我介紹自己。
