涉及difficult 與 easy 的慣用法

這是一對反義詞，由于其用法較為相似，所以放在一起來分析。

1. 表示做某事很困難（容易），英語通常用 be difficult (easy) to do sth, 注意該結(jié)構(gòu)通常要用it作形式主語，而不直接以人或物作主語。如：

2. 若be difficult (easy) 之后的不定式與句子主語有動賓關(guān)系，則句子可以用人或物作主語，但注意此時該不定式通常只用主動形式表被動意義，而不直接用被動式。如：

This cake is easy to make. 這蛋糕很容易做。

This problem is difficult to solve. 這個問題難解決。

She was difficult to understand at times. 有時候她很不容易理解。

所以當(dāng)其中的不定式不及物時，要注意加上適當(dāng)?shù)慕樵~。如：

She is very easy to get along with. 她很好相處。

Their house isn’t easy to get to. 他們的房子不容易找到。

形容詞 hard 表示“困難的”時，與上面 difficult的用法特點(diǎn)一樣，以上各句中的 difficult 均可用 hard 換之，只是 hard更口語化。

(1) difficult 有時可指人難對付的或難相處的等。如：
