do with作為習(xí)語(yǔ)主要有三大用法（除此用法之外的其他場(chǎng)合表示“處理”，應(yīng)用deal with或其他表達(dá)）：
一是與could或can連用，表示需要或希望得到某事物，通常譯為“需要”“想要”“應(yīng)該要”等；表示表示“忍受”。如：
I could do with a rest. 我想休息一下。
Your hands look as though they could do with a wash. 你的手好像要洗一洗。
I can’t do with his insolence. 我忍受不了他那傲慢無(wú)禮的態(tài)度。
二是與what連用，表示對(duì)某物的處理、處置或?qū)⒛澄镒骱斡猛荆槐硎尽鞍选拍膬毫恕薄?/SPAN> 把……放什么地方了”。如：
What shall I do with it? 我拿它怎么辦呢?
What shall I do with these flowers? 這些花怎么辦?
What have you done with my umbrella? 你把我的傘放在哪兒去了?
三是與something, nothing, anything等不定代詞連用。表示“與……有關(guān)”“關(guān)于”； 表示“同……有往來(lái)”“與……打交道”。如：
I had nothing to do with the accident. 我和那件意外無(wú)關(guān)。
I had something to do with the accident. 我和那件意外有一些關(guān)系。
We don’t have very much to do with our neighbours. 我們與鄰居沒(méi)什么往來(lái)。
