41. 好好學習，天天向上。
誤：Learn hard and make progress every day.
正：Study hard and make progress every day.
析：用于祈使句或與副詞 hard 連用時，通常要用 study，而不用 learn。注：study 和 learn 其中的一點區別就是：前者多指學習的過程，后者多指學習的結果。
42. 春天是我最喜歡的季節。
誤：Spring is my most favourite season.
正：Spring is my favourite season.
析：favourite 用作形容詞時，表示“最喜歡的”，因本身已含有 “最”這樣的意思，因此它通常不與 most 連用，以免語義重復。
43. 玻璃摸起來是光滑的。
誤：Glass is felt smooth.
誤：Glass is feeling smooth.
誤：Glass feels to be smooth.
正：Glass feels smooth.
析：feel用作連系動詞，表示“摸起來”，要注意以下用法：一是要以被摸之物作主語；二是句意雖有被動意味，但是不能用被動式；三是不用于進行時態；四是其后不接 to be。注：feel用作連系動詞，表示“感覺”時，可以用于進行進態，如：How are you feeling now? 你現在感覺如何?
44. 這次考試很難，沒幾個學生及格。
誤：The exam is very difficult, and a few students passed.
正：The exam is very difficult, and few students passed.
析：few 表示數量很少或幾乎沒有，強調“少”，含有否定意味；而 a few 表示數量雖不多，但畢竟還有，強調“有”，含有肯定意味。比較：The exam is very difficult, but a few students passed. 這次考試很難，但還是有幾個學生及格。
45. 你會發現他這個人很難相處。
誤：You will find difficult to get along with him.

析：誤句主要是根據中文意思直譯而錯，其實 find 作為動詞，其后不可能接形容詞作賓語。find 在此的正確結構是“find＋形式賓語(it)＋賓語補足語＋真正賓語”。
46. 他說完話后是一片沉默。
誤：There was a deadly silence after she had finished to speak.
正：There was a deadly silence after she had finished speaking.
析：finish(完成)后接動詞時，要用動名詞，不能用不定式。
47. 有100多個消防隊員參加救火。
誤：The fire was saved by more than 100 firemen.
正：The fire was fought by more than 100 firemen.
析：漢語說“救火”，其實是指跟火作斗爭，把火撲滅，而絕不是 “挽救”火。注意不要受字面意思影響而直譯。
48. 這是我第一次輸了比賽。
誤：It’s the first time that he lost a game.
正：It’s the first time that he has lost a game.
析：It is [will be] the first time 后的 that從句通常用現在完成時。若主句為 It was the first time...，則后面的從句通常用過去完成時(有時也用一般過去時)。
49. 這件連衣裙不合我的身，你有大一點尺寸的嗎?
誤：This dress doesn’t suit me. Have you got a larger size?
正：This dress doesn’t fit me. Have you got a larger size?
析：fit 用作動詞時，表示“適合”，通常是指大小尺寸等方面的“適合”，表示顏色、款式等方面的“適合”，英語通常是用 suit。比較：This dress doesn’t suit me. Have you got another style? 這件連衣裙不適合我穿，你還有其他的式樣嗎?
50. 別忘了代我向他們問好。
誤：Don’t forget giving my regards to them.
正：Don’t forget to give my regards to them.(www.52ysedu.com)
析：forget后接動詞時，可用不定式或動名詞，但是意思不同：接不定式表示忘記要做的事情(不定式所表示的動作未發生)，接動名詞則表示忘記已經做過或已經發生過的事情(動名詞的表示的動作已發生)。比較：I forgot to pay him. 我忘記付給他錢了(錢未付)。I forgot paying him. 我忘記曾給他付過錢了(錢已付)。
