三、易錯陷阱

陷阱1  在連系動詞后誤用副詞作表語

根據英語語法，連系動詞后要接形容詞作表語，不接副詞。如：

大家都認為這菜好吃。

誤：Everyone thinks that the food tastes well.

正：Everyone thinks that the food tastes good.

所有的孩子們看上去都非常高興。

誤：All the children look very happily.

正：All the children look very happy.

陷阱2  誤用雙重比較等級

所謂“雙重比較級”，指的是在比較前使用more或less來修飾，如說more better, less better之類的。記住，根據英語習慣，在任何情況下，使用雙重比較級都是錯誤的。如：

吃完藥后她感覺好多了。

誤：She felt more better after taking the medicine.

正：She felt much better after taking the medicine.

同樣的道理，使用雙重最高級也是錯誤的。也就是說，在構成最高級時，我們也不能既在詞尾加-est，又在其前加most。如：

巴黎是世界上最大的城市之一。

誤：Paris is among the most largest cities in the would.

正：Paris is among the largest cities in the would.

陷阱3  受漢語影響用錯比較比象

如果有人問你，“5米布”與“2公斤大米”哪個重些，你如何回答？如果你說5米布重些，那你就錯了。事實上，這兩者由于“單位”不同，它們無法比重量。在使用英語比較等級時也要注意類似的問題。如：

你的發音比我好多了。

誤：Your pronunciation is better than me.

正：Your pronunciation is much better than mine. (www.52ysedu.com)

析：“她的語音”與“我”不是同一范疇的比較對象，它們不能作比校。正確的比較方法是，將“她的語音”與“我的語音”作比較。上面正句中的mine相當于my pronunciation。

中國人口比印度人口多。

誤：The population of China are larger than India.

正：The population of China is larger than that of India.

析：“中國的人口”與“印度”不是同一范疇的比較對象，它們不能作比校。正確的比較方法是，將“中國的人口”與“印度的人口”作比較。上面正句中的that of India相當于the population of India。
