friend與friendly的搭配對比

一、friend的搭配

以下各搭配中的friends習慣上要用復數(shù)，即使with后接的是單數(shù)名詞也一樣：

1. be friends with 與……友好，跟……做朋友

Paul is friends with Bill. 保羅與比爾有交情。

Alice found several girls to be friends with on the first day of school. 愛麗絲上學第一天就和幾個女孩交上了朋友。

2. keep friends (with sb) （與某人）保持友好關系

I think we should keep friends (with her). 我想我們應該（與她）保持友好關系。

3. make friends (with sb) （與某人）交朋友

He has a pleasant manner, and finds it easy to make friends. 他態(tài)度隨和，因此交友很容易。

You can make friends with an elephant by giving him peanuts. 把花生給象吃就能使它對你友好。

二、friendly 的搭配

1. 表示“對某人友好”，其后接介詞to [towards]。如：

He is not very friendly to [towards] newcomers. 他對新來的人不太友好。

表示“與某人要好（或關系親密）”，其后接介詞with。如：

She gets free tickets to the theatre because she’s friendly with the manager. 她可得到劇院的贈票，因為她跟經(jīng)理很友好。

2. It’s friendly of sb (to do sth) 為英語慣用句式，其意為“某人（做某事）很友好”，注意其中的介詞of不能換成for。如：

It’s very friendly of you. 你真好。

It wasn’t very friendly of you to slam the door in his face. 你沖著他摔門太傷和氣了。

注意：雖以-ly結(jié)尾，卻是形容詞（可用作定語或表語），不是副詞（不用作狀語），如：

她總是友好地向我打招呼。

誤：She always greets me friendly.

正：She always greets me in a friendly way.
