指示代詞用法辨析

1. that和those可替代前面出現(xiàn)的名詞以避免重復(fù)，而this和these不能。如：

The weather of Guangzhou is better than that of Beijing.廣州的天氣比北京的天氣好。

The books here are more interesting than those on the desk.這邊的這些書(shū)比桌上的那些書(shū)更有趣。

2. that和those可作定語(yǔ)從句的先行詞，但this和 these不能；其中those可指人，但that不能。如：

He admired that which looked beautiful.他贊賞那件外表漂亮的東西。

He admired those which looked beautiful.他贊賞那些外表漂亮的東西。

3. this, these是時(shí)間或空間上的“近指”，可與here連用；that, those是時(shí)間或空間上的“遠(yuǎn)指”，可與there連用。

4. 指上文提到的事一般用that，有時(shí)也用this，指下文的事只能用this。如：

5. 打電話時(shí)，用this來(lái)介紹自己，用that來(lái)問(wèn)對(duì)方是誰(shuí)，不用I或you。如：
