whoever主要用法歸納
whoever 主要有以下用法值得注意：
1. 用于引導名詞性從句（主要是引導主語從句和賓語從句），相當于anyone who或everyone who，意為“……的那個人”“任何……的人”。如：
Whoever breaks this law deserves a fine. 違反本法者應予以罰款。
I’ll take whoever wants to go. 誰想去我就帶誰去。
Give it to whoever you see in the meeting-room. 你在會議室里看見誰就把它給誰。
2. 用于引導讓步狀語從句，相當于no matter who，其意為“不論什么人”“不論是誰”。如：
Whoever you ask, the answer is always the same. 不管你問誰，答案都一樣。
I won’t open the door, whoever you are. 不管你是誰，我都不會開門。
引導讓步狀語從句時，從句謂語有時可以用“may+動詞原形”代替一般現在時。如：
Whoever says [may say] so, it is wrong. 不管誰這樣說，那都是錯的。
3. whoever的賓格形式在現代英語中仍然是whoever，通常不用whomever。如：
Tell whoever you like—it makes no difference to me. 你愿意告訴誰就告訴誰——對我來說都無所謂。
4. 有時表示“究竟是誰”，其用法與whoever與who ever, who on earth等同義。如：
Whoever can that be at this time of night? 這么晚了會是誰呢？
5. 在口語中有時還可表示不認識的人，表示“不知道是誰”。如：
The film is about Celia Daniels, whoever that is. 那部電影是關于一個叫西莉亞·丹尼爾斯的人，也不知道他是個什么人。
6. 用于習語or whoever，意為“或者其他什么人”“或者隨便誰”。如：
When you’re done with the book, just give it to Mary or Shelley or whoever. 當你看完這本書的時候，就把它交給瑪麗，或謝莉，或其他什么人。
