一、基本用法

這是兩個很常用的虛擬語氣句型，其意為“若不是(有)”、“要不是有”。如：

注：此句型有可用but for, without等替換。如：

二、所用時間范圍

原則上說，if it weren’t [wasn’t] for 用于談論現在的情況，而if it hadn’t been for 用于談論過去的情況。但實際上if it weren’t [wasn’t] for有時也可用于談論過去的情況。如：
