people與person的用法比較與說明
1. person 與 people 的基本用法說明
people 是一個只表示復數意義的可數名詞，可以說 some people(一些人), many people (許多人)等，但不能說 a people 或 one people。如：
Some people react badly to fish. 有些人吃魚后有很強的不良反應。
It’s dangerous that so many people have guns. 這么多人有槍那是很危險的。
person表示“人”，是可數名詞，可以說a person (1個人)或three persons (3 個人)等。
An architect is a person who designs buildings. 建筑師是搞建筑設計的人。
More than one person is involved in this. 與此事有牽連的人不止一個。
Only one person can do the job, namely you. 只有一個人能做這事，那就是你。
It takes four persons to play bridge. 橋牌要4個人玩。
2. 關于 persons 與 people 的用法
像 persons 這樣的復數形式通常被認為是較文的正式說法，主要用于官方文件或通告等場合。如：
Seating Capacity：Twelve Persons 準坐 12 人
Persons wishing to enter this building must have permission. 希望進入這座大樓的人必須得到批準。
在通常情況下，person 的復數一般都用 people 代之。
