farther, further 與 farthest, furthest

(1) 表示距離時，四個詞都可用。如：

I can throw much farther [further] than you. 我可以比你扔得更遠。

(2) 若用于引申義, 表示“更進一步”、“更多”、“此外”等義，則只能用 further。如：
