一、such+a+單數(shù)可數(shù)名詞
大家知道，such 后接單數(shù)可數(shù)名詞時(shí)，是必須要帶不定冠詞的，這樣的例句詞典上比比皆是。如：
Such a solution proved impractical. 這樣一種解決方法證明是不切實(shí)際的。
I felt such a fool when I realized what I’d done. 當(dāng)我明白自己干了什么時(shí)，感覺(jué)自己就像個(gè)傻瓜。
To be offered a place at such a good university is quite an achievement. 獲得這樣好的大學(xué)錄取是件很了不起的事。
Such a large sorting operation can take up a lot of computer time. 如此復(fù)雜的排序操作會(huì)占用很多計(jì)算機(jī)時(shí)間。
Such a savage punishment is abhorrent to a civilized society. 這樣殘暴的懲罰在文明的社會(huì)引起反感。
There had never been such a beautiful woman anywhere in the world. 世界上從未有過(guò)如此美麗的女人。
Such a war could result in the use of chemical and biological weapons. 這樣的戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)可能導(dǎo)致使用生化武器。
二、no such+單數(shù)可數(shù)名詞
由于 no 在意義上相當(dāng)于 not any, not a, not one等，所以當(dāng)它后面修飾單數(shù)可數(shù)名詞時(shí)不能再用不定冠詞。如：
There’s no such thing as ghosts. 沒(méi)有鬼神這類事。（摘自《牛津英語(yǔ)搭配詞典》）
There is no such thing as a free lunch. 世上沒(méi)有免費(fèi)午餐之類的好事兒。（摘自《牛津高階英漢雙解詞典》）
There really is no such thing as a totally risk-free industry. 完全沒(méi)有風(fēng)險(xiǎn)的行業(yè)是不存在的。（摘自《柯林斯Cobuild高階英漢雙解學(xué)習(xí)詞典》）
Sceptics will argue that no such scheme has ever proved successful. 懷疑論者會(huì)辯稱此類方案沒(méi)有成功的先例。（摘自《牛津英語(yǔ)搭配詞典》）
三、such / no such +不可數(shù)名詞或復(fù)數(shù)名詞
若such 或 no such 后接的不是單數(shù)可數(shù)名詞，而是不可數(shù)名詞或是復(fù)數(shù)名詞，自然不能用不定冠詞。如：
It makes sense to keep such information on disk. 把這樣的信息保存在磁盤(pán)上是明智的。
I had never seen diamonds shine with such brilliance before. 我以前從沒(méi)有見(jiàn)過(guò)如此耀眼的鉆石。
Such mental attitudes are difficult, if not impossible, to change. 這樣的心態(tài)很難改變，也許不可能改變。
四、補(bǔ)充說(shuō)明
但是，確實(shí)偶爾也可見(jiàn)到no such a 這樣的用法，如《張道真英語(yǔ)用法》中就有這樣一句：
No such a person ever existed. 過(guò)去從來(lái)沒(méi)有過(guò)這樣的人。
但我們認(rèn)為這不是普通用法，初學(xué)者不宜模仿。
我們查BNC（英國(guó)國(guó)家語(yǔ)料庫(kù)）：關(guān)于no such的例證共有1481例，但關(guān)于no such a 的例證只有8例（屬罕見(jiàn)用法）。
