請(qǐng)別誤用了這些假分詞

有這樣一道題：

_____ their inexperience, they’ve done a good job.

A. Given         B. To give      C. Giving      D. Give

此題答案為A，但許多同學(xué)不知道這是什么原因。其實(shí)，given 在此用作介詞，意為“考慮到”。又如：

Given the low price, I decided to buy it. 考慮到價(jià)格很低，我決定把它買(mǎi)下。

在英語(yǔ)中，有些詞語(yǔ)形式上像是分詞（現(xiàn)在分詞或過(guò)去分詞），但其實(shí)際上可能已轉(zhuǎn)化成其他詞類(lèi)，所以在做題時(shí)要注意根據(jù)句意仔細(xì)分辨，千萬(wàn)不要被這些假分詞給蒙了眼。

一、形式上像分詞，實(shí)際上是連詞

1. 引導(dǎo)條件狀語(yǔ)從句，其意相當(dāng)于“假如”“如果”等，這類(lèi)用作連詞的“假分詞”有supposing, assuming, providing, provided等。如：

Supposing she doesn’t come, what shall we do? 假設(shè)她不來(lái)，我們?cè)撛趺崔k?

Assuming it rains tomorrow, what shall I do? 如果明天下雨的話，我該怎么辦?

I will stay here provided [providing] the climate agrees with me. 如果這里的氣候合適的話，我就待下來(lái)。

2. 引導(dǎo)讓步狀語(yǔ)從句，其意相當(dāng)于“即使”，這類(lèi)用作連詞的“假分詞”有granted, admitting等。如：

Granted this is true, you are still in the wrong. 這話即使真實(shí)，你仍然是錯(cuò)的。

Admitting that he is naturally clever, we do not think he will make much improvement, as he pays no attention to his lessons. 他即使天資聰穎，我們也不認(rèn)為他會(huì)有多大長(zhǎng)進(jìn)，因?yàn)樗麑?duì)功課不上心。

3. 引導(dǎo)原因狀語(yǔ)從句，其意相當(dāng)于“因?yàn)椤薄凹热弧钡龋�這類(lèi)用作連詞的“假分詞”有seeing等。如：

二、形式上像分詞，實(shí)際上是介詞

這類(lèi)詞主要有according to(根據(jù)，按照)，concerning(關(guān)于)，considering(考慮到)，excepting(除……外)，following(接著)，given(如果有，考慮到)，including(包括)，owing to(由于)，regarding(關(guān)于)。如：

But things do not go according to plan. 但事情并未按計(jì)劃進(jìn)行。

I spoke to him concerning his behavior. 我和他談了他的行為。

Considering his age, the little boy reads very well. 就他的年齡來(lái)說(shuō)，這小孩讀得算挺好的。

There was nothing in the street excepting two dogs. 除了兩條狗街上什么都沒(méi)有。

Following the roar, out rushed a tiger from among the bushes. 一聲吼叫，呼地從叢林中沖出一只老虎。

Given good health, I hope to finish the work this year. 如果身體情況好，我希望在今年完成這項(xiàng)工作。

Owing to the bad weather, the match was cancelled. 由于天氣不好，比賽取消了。

Everybody here has the influenza including myself. 包括我在內(nèi)所有人都患上流感。
