關(guān)閉窗口 2. 用作動(dòng)詞，注意以下介詞搭配：
(1) 表示朝著某個(gè)方面前進(jìn)，通常后接介詞 to, towards。如：
The troops advanced to the river. 部隊(duì)行進(jìn)到河邊。
They advanced towards the castle. 他們向城堡推進(jìn)。
He advanced towards me in aggressive style. 他向我步步進(jìn)逼。
(2) 表示“朝……進(jìn)發(fā)或挺進(jìn)”，通常后接介詞on, upon。如：
The army advanced on the capital. 部隊(duì)向首都挺進(jìn)。
Napoleon’s army advanced on Moscow. 拿破侖的軍隊(duì)向莫斯科推進(jìn)。
(3) 表示進(jìn)攻的對(duì)象，通常用介詞 on, upon。如：
The soldiers advanced on the enemy. 士兵們向敵人進(jìn)擊。
They advanced upon the enemy. 他們向敵人進(jìn)攻。
(3) 表示“把……提前”時(shí)，通常與from…to…短語(yǔ)搭配使用，與postpone互為反義詞。如：
The date of the meeting was advanced from 10 to 3 June. 會(huì)議日期已由6月10日提前到6月3日。
(4) 表示“預(yù)支（錢）”“借（錢）”，通常接雙賓語(yǔ)。如：
The bank advanced me $5,000. 銀行借給我5,000美元。
He asked his employer to advance him a month’s salary. 他請(qǐng)求雇主先預(yù)支一個(gè)月的薪水。
■advice n.
1. 表示“建議”“勸告”“忠告”等，是不可數(shù)名詞，若表示一條或幾條建議或勸告，要借用 piece, bit, word 這樣的詞。如：
Here are two pieces of advice. 這是兩條建議。
Let me give you a bit of advice. 讓我給你一點(diǎn)忠告吧。
There was nobody to tell him, to hint him, to give him at least a word of advice. 沒(méi)有人告訴他，或暗示他，或起碼給他一句忠言。
2. 表示按照某人的意見(jiàn)做某事，一般要用介詞 on 或 by。如：
We did the work by her advice. 我們按她的意見(jiàn)做此工作。
Claire went to Paris on Sarah’s advice. 克萊爾聽(tīng)取薩拉的忠告去了巴黎。
3. 表示提出建議或忠告，一般用動(dòng)詞 give；表示向某人請(qǐng)教或征求意見(jiàn)，一般用動(dòng)詞 ask (for)；表示接受意見(jiàn)或勸告，一般用動(dòng)詞take, follow, accept 等。如：
The old often give good advice to the young. 老年人常常對(duì)年輕人提出金玉良言。
You should ask for the teacher’s advice. /You should ask the teacher for advice. 你應(yīng)該去征求老師的意見(jiàn)。
If we had followed his advice, we could have done the job better with less money and fewer people. 要是聽(tīng)取了他的意見(jiàn)，我們不僅可以節(jié)省人力、物力，而且還會(huì)把工作做得更好。
4. 表示對(duì)某人的忠告，其后通常接介詞to。如：
My advice to you would be to wait. 我勸你等著。
Advice to investors was based on the premise that interest rates would continue to fall. 給予投資者的建議是以利率將繼續(xù)下降這一點(diǎn)為前提的。
5. 表示關(guān)于某事的忠告，其后通常接介詞about或on。如：
He asked me for my advice on what he should do. 他征求我的意見(jiàn)該做些什么。
You will need to seek professional advice about your claim for compensation. 你在索賠的問(wèn)題上需要內(nèi)行人士作指導(dǎo)。
6. 表示忠告做某事，其后通常接不定式作定語(yǔ)。如：
We took his advice to remain silent. 我們接受了他的忠告，保持沉默。
若表示某人的建議是做某事，其后通常接不定式作表語(yǔ)。如：
My advice is to give yourself up to the police. 我的建議是你去自首。
7. 其后若出現(xiàn) that 從句，通常用“should+動(dòng)詞原形”這樣的虛擬語(yǔ)氣。如：
My advice is that he (should) give up smoking. 我建議他戒煙。
Our advice is that the company (should) invest in new equipment. 我們的意見(jiàn)是公司應(yīng)在新設(shè)備上進(jìn)行投資。
