關閉窗口 content 有哪些用法
1. 用作形容詞，表示“滿足的”“滿意的”，只用作表語，其后多接不定式或介詞 with。如：
Are you content with your salary? 你對你的薪水滿意嗎？
I should be well content to stay here. 我很樂意呆在這兒。
若要用作定語，要用 contented（它也可用表語）。如：
There was a contented smile on his face. 他臉上露出了滿意的微笑。
She is content with very little. 她易于滿足。
2. 用作動詞，為及物動詞，它的意思不是“滿足”“滿意”，而是“使……滿足”“使……滿意”，其后總是接人作賓語（包括接反身代詞）。如：
Nothing could content him. 什么也不能使他滿足。
We should never content ourselves with book knowledge only. 我們切不可只滿足于書本知識。
3. 用作名詞，表示“滿足”，是不可數名詞。如：
He takes content in nothing. 他這個人從不滿足。
另外，它還有以下用法：
(1) 表示“內容”，若指抽象意義，不可數；若指具體意義或具體所裝的東西，則可數（通常用復數）。如：
The teacher returned his paper and said the content was very interesting. 教師還給他論文，說論文內容很有意思。
The contents of the telegram are as follows. 電報內容如下。
(2) 表示“含量”“容量”，通常用單數形式。如：
Oranges have a high vitamin C content. 橙子的維生素C含量很高。
(3) 表示“目錄”，總是用復數形式，用于名詞前作定語也是如此。如：
It is advisable to look at the contents page of a book, before buying it. 買書前最好是先看一看目錄。
有時甚至還可與不定冠詞連用。如：
Is there a contents? 有目錄嗎？
