通常以人作賓語的及物動詞

以下及物動詞通常以“人”作賓語;若用于被動語態,則其主語應是指“人”的:  

anger  

His speech angered the audience. 他的講話激怒了觀眾。  

He was angered by the selfishness of the others. 他因為別人的自私而發怒。  

brief  

The company has briefed a top lawyer to defend it. 公司已將案件委托給最好的律師進行辯護。  

The Prime Minister was fully briefed before the meeting. 首相在會議前已掌握了詳盡資料。  

comfort  

We comforted her as best we could. 我們盡量安慰她。  

The child ran to its mother to be comforted. 孩子跑到母親身邊以求得到安慰。  

contact  

I’m anxious to contact your brother. 我急于和你兄弟取得聯系。  

I’ve been trying to contact him, but l haven’t managed to. 我試圖同他聯系,但未能成功。  

You can always contact me on 0325642. 你可以經常用0325642這個電話號碼與我聯系。  

frighten  

Don’t say this. You frighten me. 別說這個了。你把我嚇了一跳。  

The bully’s threatening remarks frightened the child. 那惡棍威脅的話把小孩嚇壞了。  

interest  

This has ceased to interest me. 這不再使我感興趣。  

His joke didn’t interest me. 他的笑話并不使我感到興趣。  

I saw something in the paper which might interest you. 我在報上看到一樣可能使你感興趣的東西。  

shock  

Her refusal shocked us to the core. 她拒絕后我們大吃一驚。  

He shocked the whole company by resigning. 他辭職的消息全公司都感到震驚。  

suit
