suggest的用法與語(yǔ)法

1. 用作動(dòng)詞，表示“建議”“提議”，其后接動(dòng)詞時(shí)要用動(dòng)名詞，而不用不定式。如：

I suggest going in my car. 我建議坐我的車去。

He suggested taking the children to the zoo. 他提議帶孩子去動(dòng)物園。

若是后接從句，多用虛擬語(yǔ)氣（should+v.）。如：

He suggested that we (should) come another day. 他建議們改日再來(lái)。

但是注意，不要按漢語(yǔ)習(xí)慣在其后接不定式的復(fù)合結(jié)構(gòu)。如：

他建議我們買臺(tái)輛新車。

正：He suggested our buying a new car.

正：He suggested that we (should) buy a new car.

誤：He suggested us to buy a new car.(www.52ysedu.com)

在現(xiàn)代英語(yǔ)中 suggest表示“建議”時(shí)，其后所接的從句也可不用“should+v.”的虛擬語(yǔ)氣形式，但不算很普通，初學(xué)者宜慎用。如：

I suggest that you don’t go. 我建議你不要去。

2. 表示“暗示”“表明”“指出”“提出（看法）”等義，若后接that-從句，通常用陳述語(yǔ)氣。如：

His smile suggested that he was satisfied. 他的微笑表明他是滿意的。

I’m not suggesting that the accident was your fault. 我并不是說(shuō)這個(gè)事故是你的錯(cuò)。

Others suggest that they two will be equals. 其他人認(rèn)為他們倆將是勢(shì)均力敵。

3. 不能接雙賓語(yǔ)，若含義上需要接雙賓語(yǔ)，可用介詞 to。如：

What did you suggest to the manager? 你向經(jīng)理提了什么建議?

He suggested to us that we should go by train. 他向我們提議坐火車去。

比較以下用介詞 for, as 的例子：

Whom would suggest for the job? 你建議由誰(shuí)來(lái)做這工作?
